The Role: WordPress Developer
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-obsessed developer who builds beautiful, high-converting websites — and gets it right the first time.
Forget bloated processes and hand-holding. We need someone proactive who can take a project from brief to launch and ensure it’s fast, polished, and thoughtfully crafted.
✅ Please include the phrase “kick-ass websites” in your application so we know you actually read this.
What You’ll Do
- Build conversion-optimized WordPress websites using Bricks Builder
- Translate wireframes and creative briefs into polished, responsive designs
- Follow CRO principles to reduce friction and increase conversion rates
- Implement technical SEO best practices and accessibility standards
- Use global styles, components, and ACF-powered dynamic templates
- Launch websites following a standardized, error-proof QA checklist
- Maintain and optimize sites post-launch using tools like WP Rocket, Cloudflare, and ManageWP
Who You Are
✅ Design-Driven Developer
- You care deeply about spacing, typography, button consistency, and visual hierarchy
- You can create beautiful, usable layouts without needing a Figma file for every screen
- You have an opinion on what makes a section convert — not just look good
✅ Technical Execution Expert
- You build for speed, performance, and responsiveness across devices
- You understand DNS, caching, performance tuning, and deployment workflows
- You write clean HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP when needed — but know how to work smart inside Bricks
✅ Reliable & Proactive
- You don’t wait for someone to check your work
- You spot SEO and UX issues before anyone else
- You take ownership of your builds and genuinely care about the outcome
Requirements
- 5+ years of WordPress development experience
- Bricks Builder mastery (or strong experience with similar builders and willingness to learn Bricks)
- Deep understanding of conversion-focused design
- Familiarity with Cloudways, Cloudflare, WP Rocket, Rank Math, SendGrid, and Screaming Frog
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO, accessibility, and image optimization
- Ability to use and contribute to standardized components and global styles
- English fluency and strong async communication skills
Bonus Points
- Portfolio demonstrating CRO thinking and design attention to detail
- QA-first mindset — your sites don’t ship with “lorem ipsum”
- Experience building or following component libraries / frameworks
- Experience working with LMS or creating dev documentation/courses
What We Offer
- Remote-first team with async-friendly culture
- Autonomy and trust — get things done your way
- Work directly with founders, not through middle managers
- Profit sharing after 12 months
- High-quality projects that truly help small businesses succeed
- Culture of continuous improvement and shared learning
